Christina Skinner first got her interest in massage therapy at the age of 14 after receiving a massage after running in a 5k. Fast forward to the year 2009 she enrolled in the massage program at Career Training Academy where she received her associate’s degree in advanced body works. After 3 years in the industry working for a chiropractic office, she decided to expand into the esthetic industry and attend esthetician school at the Fountain of Youth Academy of Cosmetology. This expanded her into working in the spa industry. Facials and makeup application quickly becoming one of her true passions in life.
Wanting to expand on her passions through the years she has attended may different continuing education classes such as Lymphatic Drainage, Hot Stone, Bamboo Massage, Active Isolated Stretching, Lomi Lomi, Trager, medical massage training, Kett Airbrush certifications, Jane Iredale makeup application, Aveda spa techniques, Aveda skincare, YON-KA Paris skincare, Jan Marini skincare, and Nufree waxing.
Through choosing this career path Christina is able to do what she loves most, make people feel better whether it be through dissolving people’s stress, eliminating muscle tension, boosting their confidence through makeup, and her positivity.
Eclectic Remedies is a massage, facial, and makeup studio located inside Powell Chiropractic in Regent Square. Christina has been working as a massage therapist for 7 years and an esthetician for 4 years. She is trained in a large variety of massage modalities, such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, hot stone, etc. She has also had training in a variety of skin care lines, such as YON-KA Paris, Aveda, and Jan Marini. She is a Kett Cosmetics certified airbrush makeup artist as well.
Her studio is a place for people to come to decompress, rejuvenate, feel beautiful, glamorous, and be themselves.
